The Aldergrove Festival Days is the first and only Lower Mainland summer parade Gizeh Shriners have participated in for 2021 since COVID restrictions were imposed.

On Canada Day, Aldergrove held a motorized community “Paint the Town Red” Parade over 6 kilometres (4 miles) looping around Aldergrove leaving lots of room for everyone including parade participants and spectators for ‘physical distancing’. The organizers estimated that 5,000 enthusiastic residents of all ages were able to attend and view the new “COVID-AWARE” parade cheering and waving participants on.

As well as many local groups, approximately 50 Nobles from our clubs and units – Abbotsford, Langley, Gizeh Camels, Peace Arch and Westminster as well as High Priest and Prophet, Noble Ron Erickson and the Oriental Guide, Noble Troy Bell were in attendance. Noble Don Wrightman was not able to get on a float, however, cheered his peers on from the sidelines.
